The hotel's rooms need modernization and the bed wasn't comfortable. It lacked the inviting and warm atmosphere one would expect, with threadbare doormats, cobwebs in the dining area, and dampness in the bedrooms. The basement room was absolutely awful, dark, grubby, and dank.
